What happens during teeth whitening / bleaching?
A radiant smile, bright teeth appear vital, attractive and are an expression of our health. Unfortunately, over time, our teeth store dyes from food and beverages such as coffee, tea, red wine and nicotine and become darker as a result. A professional bleaching removes these dyes stress-free and lets your teeth shine in their original, individual and natural white. This application takes about 90 minutes in our practice.

Just one appointment - these are the advantages of the natural+ power bleaching method.
Tooth whitening with the "Natural+" method offers you and your teeth many advantages. Applied only once, without anesthesia, the bleaching gel continuously releases the active ingredient. This process is very gentle, especially for sensitive teeth, well tolerated and still ensures long-lasting whitening without demineralizing the teeth.
-
What are the prerequisites for successful treatment?
Since the bleaching gel only works directly on the tooth, it is important that the tooth is free of plaque and caries and that the gums are healthy. A short time before the treatment, a professional tooth cleaning is recommended in order to achieve an optimal result. Please keep in mind that teeth whitening can only lighten the color of your own teeth and has no effect on fillings, crowns or bridges. We advise pregnant women and young people under the age of 18 against the treatment.
-
Do I feel pain during the bleaching or after the application?
The treatment or the chemical reaction on the tooth is described by almost all patients as painless. After the treatment, there may occasionally be a “tingling sensation” or small “flashes”. Some patients report hypersensitivity of the teeth and gums in the first 12 to 24 hours. To prevent this, I will give you a special toothpaste at the end of the treatment. This counteracts the effects described above.

Does bleaching damage my tooth enamel?
Teeth whitening/bleaching is harmless when carried out professionally. The application follows standardized process steps. Here I use the Natural+ Power Gel from Bisoco, an absolutely high-quality product that does not attack the minerals in your teeth and is particularly gentle.
-
How long will my teeth stay beautifully bright white?
Experience shows that the result of the application lasts up to two years. Exactly how long depends not only on your tooth substance and oral hygiene, but also on your lifestyle and diet. Nicotine, coffee, tea and red wine can lead to discoloration again after use.
-
How much does the treatment cost?
Tooth bleaching is considered a so-called iGeL (individual health service) and is not reimbursed by insurance companies/health insurance companies. As a patient, you have to pay for this aesthetic treatment yourself. I charge a flat rate of 350.00 euros for this service.
-
What can I eat and drink after bleaching?
In the next 48 hours, avoid coloring substances such as:
coffee and tea
tobacco
colorful fruits and vegetables (e.g. strawberries, tomatoes, spinach, etc.)
brown and red sauces
mustard and ketchup
Cola
chocolate
red wine
soy sauce
curry / turmeric
Please only eat and drink white or light beverages during this time.Book an appointment for dental prophylaxis in Dahlem here -
